RSS Feeds
« on: March 26, 2009, 08:08:31 AM »

A coworker of mine just got me into using Google Reader, and I love it.  Google Reader is a very easy to use RSS feed capture and reading program.  It allows you to "subscribe" to many different websites and then captures and saves new content coming out of those sites.  This includes blogs, forums, and many other types of sites.  It saves me from remembering to check all of those sites that I am interested in, as it notifies me when something has been posted or changed on that site.  It also captures the new content, so you can read it in Google Reader itself, rather than having to go to each site.

I was rather stunned to find out that the CAMRA Forums have an RSS feeder.  So, I can now see when someone makes a post, which will allow me to keep up-to-date better.  It really is a fantastic service and I recommend you all check it out.

Yeah, I set up an RSS feed for the site and forums when we set up the site.

Whoops.  I suppose I could have spread the word on that better.....  Sorry.

Don't be sorry at all.  I was just expressing my enthusiasm for this new technology I am playing with.  It is really quite neat.
